This book weighs in at 228 pages. It is nice and big (B4 size - appx. 10" x 14") and include artwork he's done over the last 2 years. Horimasa's work is stunning. His lines are incredibly clean and color use is brilliant. That he's studied the masters of traditional ukiyo-e is evident in his work and his approach to traditional Japanese iconography is bold and confident. This book includes an awesome variety of Japanese iconography, lots of samurai, oni, goblins, tigers, goddesses, Hannya, dragons, a brilliant lady with an octopus, Koi, Foo Dogs, frog....it has a little bit of everything. I have gone through these images and each time something new catches my eye...skulls in his waves, squid on a kimono robe...it is total Japanophile eye candy.
